Product information

The expansion tanks in the ULTITUBE series are equipped with a tube made of borosilicate glass, which, in contrast to the Plexiglas often used for tube expansion tanks, has a very high level of hardness and scratch resistance, very low thermal expansion and excellent chemical and thermal resistance. The glass tube has an outer diameter of 65 mm and a wall thickness of 5 mm. Both ends of the glass tube are firmly connected to metal rings made of black anodized aluminum, which do not come into contact with the cooling medium. The base and lid of the ULTITUBE series are made of durable acetal and are screwed to the glass tube. This means that a large opening is available for filling the expansion tank after unscrewing the lid.

A filter element made of a fine stainless steel wire mesh is integrated into the bottom of the container, which not only functions as a particle filter but also separates air bubbles. The filter element is integrated into a rubber molded part and can be rinsed out under running water, for example. The seal in the upper area of the glass tube is also designed as a rubber molded part for easy assembly and is therefore securely positioned when the lid is screwed on.

The PRO version of the ULTITUBE D5 has a gas exchange membrane integrated directly into the cover of the expansion tank. The membrane continuously compensates for pressure fluctuations caused by temperature changes without allowing coolant to escape.

An RGBpx-compatible LED ring with 13 individually addressable LEDs is included in the scope of delivery and can be used to effectively illuminate the expansion tank. An Aqua Computer control unit with RGBpx output is required to operate the LED ring (e.g. D5 NEXT, not included in the scope of delivery). At the end of the strip there is a connector for connecting another RGBpx component.

For additional, vibration-damped fastening of the expansion tank in the upper area of the glass tube, a rubber fastening ring with a stainless steel insert is included in the scope of delivery.

All D5 pumps offered by Aqua Computer can be mounted on the bottom of the expansion tank, as well as identical pumps from other manufacturers. When developing the expansion tank, attention was paid to optimal flow behavior, the result is an extremely quiet and smooth operation of the pump. The pump is attached using a slim, black anodized aluminum ring. It is not possible to use the expansion tank without a pump.

Fastening material for mounting on a side/rear wall or for standing installation is included in the scope of delivery. Four soft rubber decouplers are included for decoupling.

Please note: The expansion tank is supplied without connections, please order suitable connections separately. A D5 pump is required additionally and is not included in the scope of delivery! When used with a D5 NEXT, the bracket included in the scope of delivery cannot be used, instead a standing installation can be carried out directly on the D5 NEXT. Alternatively, a suitable bracket is available as an optional accessory under item number 34111 (not included in the scope of delivery).
